In every transformers cartoon I've seen, Optimus Prime was a firetruck, but after seeing the two movies just recently, I've been a little confused. Friends of mine who are older than me and have watched the show since they were kids say he was a big rig
The original series of Transformer, he was a Big Rig with a flame job, much like how they show him in the movie. But since then he's been a gorilla (beast wars) and a firetruck. I think since the firetruck supposedly shouts american hero hes been depicted
