Some questions of NHRA Drag Racing...?

Hi all, I have some questions about the NHRA Top Fuel dragster and funny car.

1. I found that most of the dragsters and funny cars are using supercharge, but not turbocharge. Why is it like that? Isn't turbocharge could generate higher

1. Those superchargers are huge and run somewhere around 50 psi of boost. A turbo that size would have massive turbo lag which would be horrible in a 4.5 second race. The biggest thing in TF and FC is traction. Those engines can make over 8,000 hp
