What happens to a car lease if the name under the lease cannot renew his license?

I have a car lease for 36 months this month and the car is under my father - both insured under the same insurance. His license expires Dec 2013 and the lease runs to Aug 2014. If he cannot renew his license what happens to the car?

He still owes, he just cant legally drive it. And, the lender would require insurance even though your dad would not legally be covered. (For example, if a tree fell on it and totalled it, they would get paid)

The lender can "force"
