Then when I lifted it, shown in the picture below, I measures where the pink line is for the string and where the blue line is for the load. String final = 6cm and Load final = 1.5cm. Then the change in height for the string would be 1 cm and the change in height for the load would be 1.5 cm?
I was measuring the initial length of the string from the pink lines shown in the picture and saying that the load started out at 0 cm. So far I would have 7cm initially for the string and 0cm initially for the load.
