what is the best type of engine oil i can use on my 2000 chevrolet Impala, V6 3.4l?and what grade oil?

I am looking for a performance oil for my car. im not sure what type of oil i should go with, what grade, or how much. i kinda have an idea but am still unsure. i've heard weather makes a difference, so just as refference. I live in El Paso, Tx. hot during

sythetics are the best oils. as far as grade it depends on you being in texas, i would say a 10w40 for the summer. i'm moving from michigan to arizona and am changing the weight to 10w40 as well from sae30
