I have a 1966 ford mustang with a v6 200 engine. We swapped the leaf springs for Mustangs unlimited part 42329 01. http://mustangsunlimited.com/itemdy00.as p?T1=42329+01
Can i put a 302 engine into the car with those leaf springs?
Yes you can, it says that it is made for 260 and 289 v8 and a heavy duty spring for the v6. The 302 would be a perfect swap. Oh and the 200 is a straight 6 not a v6. Ford didn't put a v6 in a 1966, mainly because Ford didn't have a v6 in 1966.

There's the distributor in the center, soon to be replaced with a new DUI electronic ignition kit!
Normally attached to the side of the engine..I removed it to paint the engine and one of the stupid threaded posts that the positive wire connects to decided to break off. Oh well a new DUI electronic ignition kit was on the list anyways!
This is what I did to mask off components I didn't want to paint in Dark Ford Blue.
Looks awesome now with a fresh coat of Dark Ford Blue I got from the auto parts store!
Also on the list is to replace the old ugly exhaust manifold with a stainless steel header.
