does aftermarket bumpers and kits make your car lower then factory bumpers and kit.?

I know any person with experience in cars know what I'm talking about. I have a 98 mitsubishi eclipse RS and I kinda was in a finder bender kinda shorta. anyway I want to replace some of the factory stuff with a after market body kit, new fenders and
depends on the kit you get.
You can call all of them and ask if they are the same as fasctory heighth
As far as I have seen and I've installed several kits - they are usually lower by 2" depending on the model.
